Advaita is nondual consciousness. Nondual consciousness is the natural state. The Advaita truth of nondual consciousness, or oneness of Being, has often been thought of as something hidden or difficult to experience, when it is quite ordinary and available in every moment. Of course, a dramatic experience of oneness is a rare event. But why wait for something so rare when this sweet and satisfying oneness is right here, right now? Website: and

BahaiThe Bahá’í teachings emphasize that all of us, as creations of one God, are part of one human family. Bahá’u’lláh said, “The tabernacle of unity hath been raised; regard ye not one another as strangers. Ye are the fruits of one tree, and the leaves of one branch.” People of nearly every background, in every nation, have become Bahá’ís. Website:

Buddhist symbolBuddhism is a religion and dharma that encompasses a variety of traditions, beliefs and spiritual practices largely based on teachings attributed to Gautama Buddha, commonly known as the Buddha (“the awakened one”). The Honpa Hongwani is a community of people joined together by the gladness of a common faith in Amida Buddha. As Jodo Shinshu Buddhists, we shall seek to be humble and sincere in words and in deeds, to be responsible citizens of our society and to share with others the teachings of Jodo Shinshu. Understanding fully the principle of causality, we shall not practice petitionary prayer and magic, and we do not depend on astrology and superstitions. The Four Noble Truths 1. The true aspect of life is intertwined with suffering and change. 2. The true cause of suffering is rooted in our own base passions or worldly desires (bonno), of which we are often blind. 3. To transcend suffering, we follow the Buddha-Dharma teachings, “which teach us to give up the egotistic mind and heart, and to seek the world of Nirvana.” 4. To transcend the ego (the source of our suffering), we follow the Eightfold Path. Website(s): and

Islam is a global monotheistic and Abrahamic religion articulated by the Qur’an, a religious text considered by its adherents to be the verbatim word of God (Allāh), and, for the vast majority of adherents, by the teachings and normative example (called the sunnah, composed of accounts called hadith) of Muhammad (c. 570–8 June 632 CE), considered by most of them to be the last prophet of God. An adherent of Islam is called a Muslim (sometimes spelled “Moslem”). Muslims believe that God is one and incomparable and that the purpose of existence is to worship God. For more information about practicing the Islamic faith on Kaua`i, contact Ishaq Mohammed, member of IROK.

Judaism is an ancient monotheistic religion, with the Torah as its foundational text (part of the larger text known as the Tanakh or Hebrew Bible), and supplemental oral tradition represented by later texts such as the Midrash and the Talmud. Judaism is considered by religious Jews to be the expression of the covenantal relationship that God established with the Children of Israel. Today there are three main kinds of Judaism: Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox Judaism. There are also kinds with a smaller number of people, such as Reconstructionist Judaism, and Karaite Judaism. Each group has its own practices according to how it understands the Jewish laws. KHMKaua`i Hindu Monastery ~ Our ancient monistic school of Saiva Siddhanta of Saivite Hinduism possesses a rare synthesis of devotional theism and uncompromising nondualism. In fact, our theology is called monistic theism. It equally exalts heart-melting temple worship and mind-transcending yogic revelation. It teaches that God is both within us and outside of us, the Creator and the creation, immanent and transcendent. Gurudeva summarized our theism beautifully, “Being the first and perfect form, God Siva—the Primal Soul, the manifest and personal Lord–naturally creates souls in His image and likeness. To love God is to know God. To know God is to feel His love for you. Such a compassionate God—a being whose resplendent body may be seen in mystic vision–cares for the minutiae such as we and a universe such as ours.” Website:

ESWBG1I am Rev. Petra Sundheim, ordained at Pathways of Light, a spiritual college based on A Course in Miracles. I have never served a church. I am part of a spiritual group called ‘The Way of the Heart’, which emphasizes direct communication with Master Jesus. A woman who leads the group has channeled Jesus for 40 years. Jesus had identified himself as Jeshua, his human name. Now he asks to have the messages given from Sananda Magdalene, the energy of the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine in balance.
The ministry of his bride and partner, Mary Magdalene is coming to light, a leader of the restoration of the Divine Feminine. Sananda Magdalene represents their ministry and acceptance in India. My focus and ministry is to bring the Divine Feminine and the Divine Masculine into balance, a preparation for a New Humanity. It is not a church, but a movement of The Way of the Heart. I am presently having a study of the Magdalene books and teachings at my place at 5pm on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Anyone is welcome.
My book, Everything Scattered Will Be Gathered, Emergence from Patriarchal Fundamentalism is the focus of study and discussion on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month at 6:30 pm, also at my address in Kalepa Village in Hanamaulu. Call 332-0504 for info and directions. As One, Petra
